If you're wondering where I get my information, here is a list of some of my favorite resources.

Dante (cliffsnotes.com) - Years ago, I bought a physical copy of the Cliffs Notes for the Inferno, and I carry it with me pretty much everywhere I go. Truly an invaluable resource!

Spark Notes - A classic source, not only for Dante but other great works!

The World of Dante offers a plethora of information.

Divine Comedy-I: Inferno Study Guide | GradeSaver - Very similar to Spark Notes and Cliffs Notes. Grade Saver offers a lot of the same information and has proven to be a great source with nice page design.

Dante's Inferno Analysis - eNotes.com - eNotes is presented well and is easy to read. It makes the Inferno a little easier to digest, and a little less intimidating.

The Dante's History podcast has proven to be one of the greatest resources out there. It's in depth, it's informative, and it's easy to fit into your busy schedule with it's short episodes... It's also incomplete. As I write this, the show ends with Canto 28 of 34 (Sowers of Discord). That particular episode dropped September 16, 2025... So it's been a while. What IS there, is well worth your time though.

100 Days of Dante Presented by Baylor Honors College (YouTube) - Just as good and just as informative as the Dante's History podcast. Each video clocks in around 10 minutes and features a different presenter.

(Internet Archive) Dante's inferno: translated by Henry Francis Cary - There's no shortage of places to find a free copy of this translation. Archive.org is a great place to get it.

Dante’s Inferno Translated by Clive James - Read it or listen to it, either way it's a great translation and well worth your time.

Dante’s Inferno Translated by John Ciardi - My personal favorite translation of the Inferno. This was the first translation I ever read.

Genius - It's not just a lyrics site... This is an okay place to get the H.F Carey translation.

Digital Dante (columbia.edu) - This one is a bit dense, and fairly pretentious. It's got some good scholarly information though.

And of course there's Darker Days of Dorothy Gale (Season 2 Aftermath episodes starting with episode 18.2) - Available most places podcasts are found. Apple Podcasts and Spotify are pretty popular.
